Celebrating 58 Years

Since 1953, NALMCO members from all over the country have come together at the annual convention and tradeshow. In October, over 250 NALMCO members met in Orlando, FL to discuss the latest in lighting technology, trends, products and more. We come to the NALMCO convention not just as colleagues, but as friends. Thanks to all the NALMCO members who made this year’s convention spectacular. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Introducing Our Newest Certification

In an effort to create an industry standard, the interNational Association of Lighting Management Companies unveiled the first, and only, sustainability certification for lighting professionals this fall. This new certification – named CSLC for Certified Sustainable Lighting Consultant - will be a seal of approval ensuring that a lighting professional has expertise in creating and maintaining lighting systems that use long-lived, energy-efficient products that minimize impacts on the environment and society.

What’s New in Lamps and Ballasts: HID by Craig DiLouie

At LIGHTFAIR 2010, Howard Wolfman, formerly with Sylvania and now a consultant with Lumispec Consulting, and I had the pleasure of presenting the venerable “What’s New in Lamps and Ballasts” seminar. We sent out questionnaires to a large number of lamp and ballast manufacturers and incorporated the responses into the presentation to provide a roller skate tour of recent lamp and ballast innovations within the context of current trends. The event is always well attended and this year we had more than 450 attendees.
